TECA

TECA platform

In 2011, the Food Agriculture Organization of the United Nations hired GVJ Web Consulting to build a platform to allow small agricultural producers to exchange technologies and practices. The platform needed to feature technologies, but also exchange groups for people to discuss and comment about the various technologies presented, and also conform to the FAO template for websites.

The platform, built in Drupal 7, was the first Drupal 7 site built for the FAO. It was initially released with one single exchange group, the Beekeeping Exchange Group. Later, another group, the Farmer Innovation Exchange Group, was added.

The platform shares more than 500 technologies and practices
